LAHORE: The recently rescheduled Medical and Dental College Admission Test 2017 is being held in examination centres all across Punjab today (Sunday).
Students will be taking part in examinations in 28 designated centres in spread across 13 cities of Punjab and an estimated 41,000 female and 24,000 males students are expected to be attempting the test.
3,500 students from Bahawalpur are also said to be giving the test on Sunday.
Section 144 has been imposed around the examination centres and tight security measures have been put in place to avoid any incident.
Earlier Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had stated that it was unfortunate that the MDCAT papers were leaked the last time and that vice chancellor of University of Health Sciences Lahore was appointed on merit basis.
After the Punjab government authorities submitted a report stating that employees of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) were found involved in leaking the papers for Medical and Dental College Admission Test 2017, the Lahore High Court (LHC) declared the results invalid and October 29 (today) was decided as the date for the rescheduled exams.
