LAHORE: According to a written reply forwarded to the Senate by Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Riaz Hussain, Asad Shafiq collected more cash than any other in past four years.
Pakistan’s right-hand batsman became the highest paid in cricket team, taking approximately Rs 28 million per annum that makes a total of Rs 111.9 Million in last four years.
The salaries of other senior players stayed under Shafiq, with Muhammad Hafeez receiving Rs 24.3 million followed by Misbah with Rs 17.8 million, Sarfarz with Rs 17.3 million and Azhar Ali taking Rs 16.1 million as annual pay.
Collectively, 71 Pakistani cricketers who represented the country in a total of 205 international matches during last five years took Rs 1.45 billion in total.
