LAHORE: A victim of police torture, Iqbal died on Friday after he along with an accomplice were taken away by police authorities and reportedly tortured in Raja Jung police station.
Relatives of the deceased state that when they arrived at the police station in question the victims screams could be heard from the premises where they were not even allowed entry.
Iqbal’s relatives are currently protesting against his death and asking why he was taken away by police and tortured to death.
Police and higher authorities could not be reached for comment on this tragic incident.
Raiwind Bypass connects Lahore to Kahna & nearby areas and is a major artery of the city and its blockage means a the creation of a huge traffic mess in the area.
