SWAT: Four children died while 13 others were hospitalised with symptoms of measles due to an outbreak in Swat on Sunday.
Habibullah, the tehsil nazim of Bahrian, held the health department staff responsible for the outbreak. He said area affected by the outbreak in Mankial had not been visited by teams of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation of the federal government.
He said that four children diagnosed with the disease had died in the town, and 13 others under treatment at Saidu Sharif Hospital, adding that the hospital lacked appropriate treatment facilities for measles patients.
