NOWSHERA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Qurban Ali, one of those alleged of ‘selling votes’ during the Senate elections, ripped the show cause notice and demanded party chief Imran Khan to apologise.
The 20 lawmakers, including Nagina Khan, Javed Naseem Hayat, Nargis Ali, Yaseen Khalil, Zahid Durrani, Wajeehuz Zaman, Abdul Razak among others, gathered at PTI leader Qurban Ali’s residence in Nowshera to discuss the issue.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Qurban Ali, Wajeehuz Zaman and Yaseen Khalil said the the issuance of show cause notices was a violation of human rights and that the PTI chief is “using us as sacrificial lambs to triumph in Punjab”.
The accused leaders warned that if the PTI chief does not apologise within 15 days, they will take the matter to court and “will reveal all the facts”. The leaders claimed that party tickets were sold for Rs 40 million each.
After concluding his address to the media, Qurban Ali Shah ripped the show cause notices and demanded judicial inquiry into the allegations.
