KARACHI: Sindh Governor Justice (r) Saeeduz Zaman has been discharged from the hospital after 35 days. He went back to the Governor House at 3am on Thursday morning.
Three days after being sworn in on November 11, the Sindh governor was admitted to the hospital reportedly for breathing difficulties and a chest infection.
Sources said that the governor was discharged from the hospital because of family pressure. He will be accompanied by a 24-hour monitoring team including chest specialist, neurologist and physiotherapist. A ten-member medical board comprising neurological physicians, surgeons, orthopedics, and chest specialists monitored the ailing governor’s health round the clock at the hospital.
Sources claim that Zaman’s lungs have collapsed and his body is not getting the required oxygen without a BiPAP machine to maintain oxygen levels in the body, adding that the governor’s vital organs are not working properly.
Sources also claimed that the medical board has recommended a lung transplant, advising that the procedure be performed in the United Kingdom, United States or India. Due to the governor’s old age, a major surgery is not possible.
