ISLAMABAD: The Press Association of Supreme Court (PAS) Friday unanimously elected Terence J Sigamony, staff reporter at The Nation, as its president.
The PAS members also elected Rana Masood from Daily Jang as general secretary, Allahdad Siddiqui from DIN TV as senior vice president, Tayyab Baloch from Aabtak Channel as vice president, Aamir Khichi from Associated Press of Pakistan as finance secretary, Salahuddin Khan from Nawa-e-Waqt as information secretary and Akhtar Siddiqui from Daily Ummat as joint secretary.
Likewise, Nasir Kazmi of Daily Jehan Pakistan was elected as PAS Executive Committee chairman, while Syed Sabeehul Hussnain from Daily Times, Daniyal Qureshi from Daily Ausaf, Aleemud Din from Metro News and Saifur Rehman from Daily Sama were elected as executive committee members.
The PAS is an organisation of reporters from various TV news channels, newspapers and news agencies, who cover apex court’s proceedings regularly.
