KHAIRPUR: A condolence ceremony was held to pay tribute to late Sindh governor Justice (Retd) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui at the Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, on Thursday. SALU VC Prof Dr Parveen Shah presided over the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Shah said the services rendered by Justice (Retd) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui for the promotion of judicial activism and democracy was remarkable. She added that he was the icon of the judiciary since his verdicts were examples in the judicial history. Prof Dr Noor Ahmed Shaikh, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Main Campus, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Languages, Prof. Dr. Badaruddin Memon, Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Chairman, Department of Media Studies, Registrar and Prof. Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah also spoke on the occasion.
