ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Thursday said that Pakistan would continue to work for peace in Afghanistan while strongly refuting Afghan government’s allegations about Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism on its soil.
Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria, in a weekly briefing, said that Pakistan has played vital role for peace in Afghanistan. But there are certain elements that are working hard to destroy Pak-Afghan relations.
“Anarchy in Afghanistan caused the most trouble in Pakistan. Afghan leadership’s allegations are disappointing and Pakistan strongly rejects these,” the spokesman said.
Zakaria also said that there were ample and undeniable evidences that India is involved in rebellious activities in Pakistan.
He further said that Pakistan, unfortunately, is the victim of terrorism, especially due to the Indian state terrorism as they sponsor terrorism in our homeland.
Condemning the continuous killing of Kashmiris in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK), the spokesman said that Hindu terrorist organisations, its affiliates and the armed village defence committees were committing ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Muslims in the Jammu region.
