Pakistan Army effectively responded to the aggression and killed six terrorists in retaliatory fire, the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The attack was carried out from across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on an FC check post located in Charsadda tehsil of Shabqadar, the ISPR statement said.
Pakistan sealed the Torkham and Chaman crossings last month, after a blitz of bombings in the country in which 100 people were killed in 10 days.
Pakistan has repeatedly protested that terrorists are taking advantage of the turmoil in Afghanistan and using Afghan soil to orchestrate terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
