QUETTA: Five accused persons including former secretary finance Mushtaq Raisani and former advisor to chief minister of Balochistan on finance Khalid Langove have been indicted in Balochistan Mega corruption scandal. All the accused have pleaded not guilty.
The mega corruption case came up for hearing in Accountability Court (AC) on Friday. The court indicted former advisor to Balochistan chief minister on finance Khalid Longove, former finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani, former local government secretary Abdul Basit and former local board secretary Faisal Jamal and contractor Suhail Majeed. The accused pleaded not guilty.
The court also dismissed the plea by five accused persons that they be not indicted.
In May last year, cash worth millions of rupees was recovered from residence of Mushtaq Raisani after his arrest. It also came to light that the accused owned bungalows in Defence Karachi .
