ISLAMABAD: A meeting of Economic Coordination Committee of cabinet (ECC) was held at the PM’s Office on Tuesday.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the meeting. The meeting approved December 2016 salary to employees of Pakistan Steel Mills. The ECC also allowed further export of 0.200 MMT of sugar. The meeting also gave approval to extend applicability period of reduced rate of withholding tax i.e. 0.4% on banking transactions of non-filers up to June 30.
The meeting accorded approval for public sector procurement of wheat (2016-17 crops) against the target of 7.05 million tonnes.
