ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus Vladimir Andreinchenko along with a parliamentary delegation will arrive in Islamabad on Monday on a four-day official visit to Pakistan.
He is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq. The delegation will be received by Awais Leghari, hairman Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs chairman.
This is the first-ever visit of any presiding officer of House of Representatives of Belarus.
During the visit, the delegation will call on the prime minister, the president, the Senate chairman, the NA speaker and federal ministers. The speakers of both parliaments will also sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Matters pertaining to cooperation between both parliaments and possibilities of economic cooperation will be discussed.
Vladimir Andreinchenko will also address members of Pak-Belarus Friendship Group.
The visit is intended to inject a new vitality into the bilateral parliamentary linkages and supplement the endeavours of the government in broadening and deepening bilateral ties with Belarus.
