LAHORE: Intelligence agencies have foiled a major terror bid and gunned-down an alleged terrorist, rounding up a woman on eve of Easter in Lahore.
According to ISPR, the intelligence agencies personnel conducted a raid near Punjab Housing Society in Lahore on Saturday and foiled a major terror bid on eve of Easter.
During the raid, one terrorist was gunned-down, while a woman was held. During the operation, four Jawans including two officers sustained injuries in during shootout with terrorists. The injured were rushed to a nearby medical centre for treatment.
The personnel also recovered suicide jacket and explosives during the operation.
The deceased terrorist was seemed to be an Uzbek in-respect to his appearance. The terrorists had taken a five Marla portion on rent for the at least two months. Moreover, the house is owned by Hafeez, a resident of Ghazi Raod, who gave the house on rent to Azeem two months ago.
The personnel arrested Azeem from the same house and recovered three suicide jackets, explosive material and weapon from the house.
