KARACHI: Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and Awami National Party (ANP) will stand together for development of Karachi.
“We will develop Karachi together,” he said on Friday.
The city mayor said that the repairing and carpeting of roads would begin soon, along with the DMCs’ routine work. He said that people from to all walks of life must support his team.
On the mayor’s directives, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation started a 100-day campaign to clean the city on Thursday. The mayor has vowed to repair the major arteries of the city during the cleanliness drive.
