ISLAMABAD: Jamaatud Dawa (JUD) Ameer Professor Hafiz Muhammad Saeed announced to observe 2017 for Kashmiris and said that all activities and programs will be arranged on Kashmir issue.
While addressing a joint press conference along with Tehreek-e-Azadi Jammu Kashmir Chairman Maulana Abdul Aziz Alvi, All Parties Huriyyat Conference Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Peoples Democratic Party Leader Farooq Ahmad Rehmani, Jammu Kashmir Muslim League Leader Ishtiaq Ahmad Hameed and Peoples League Leader Jammu Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, He expressed his views, saying that we want to launch a movement together.
“Kashmiris carry the flag of Pakistan. All parties will be invited as we will carry the Pakistani flag in every program to express solidarity with Kashmiris,” he added, “Kashmiris are being oppressed by the Indian Army and when see the attitude of Pakistani rulers and politicians towards Kashmir, we regret it.”
The JUD leader expressed solidarity with the Kashmiris and said that Kashmiris themselves are running the Kashmir movement. “Business, education and a lot more was taken from them. The Kashmiris sacrificed everything. Pakistani leaders and Azad Kashmir should stand with them” he said.
“1 to 7 February will be observed as expressing solidarity week with Kashmir (Hafta Yakjahtee Kashmir)” he said while announcing to hold programs, all parties conferences and public gatherings on the Kashmir issue.
He concluded by saying that we will be the voice of Kashmir and stand with them shoulder to shoulder. He also supported freedom movement of Kashmir.
While terming the press conference as the first practical step towards creating awareness regarding Kashmir, Ghulam Muhammad Safi said that India wants to change Jammu and Kashmir’s demographical status. “It is difficult for Muslims to live in Jammu where their settlements are being burnt” he said.
“If India captures takes over Kashmir without the Kashmiris consent, then the people have a right to answer. We support all such operations,” he added.
