LAHORE: The provincial capital and other parts of the province on Wednesday experienced intermittent rain, which continued with occasional gaps on the second consecutive day.
On Thursday, heavy rain coupled with cold winds and snowfall occurred in hilly areas. The showers brought the temperature down and the weather turned chilly in the provincial capital. The temperature fell from 17 to 14 degrees Celsius in the city on Wednesday.
The overcast sky, clean and pleasant atmosphere gave the provincial capital a heavenly look but also created difficulties for people in some areas as rainwater accumulated on roads and streets.
According to the Met Office, 33 millimetres of rain were recorded in the city while other cities including Murree, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Kasur, Jhelum, Bahawalnagar, Mangla, Faisalabad and Mandi Bahauddin also received a considerable amount of rain.
However, a daily weather report said that the weather would change and the province was no more likely to experience rain and would witness a sunny day with a few clouds on Friday.
