ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Aizaz Chaudhry on Thursday said Pakistan would not accept the US’ “do more” policy, which he alleged was used for propaganda.
The newly appointed ambassador made the statement while addressing a seminar on Pakistan’s foreign policy at Islamabad’s Air University.
He stated that America uses the “do more” policy to create propaganda through its media. He advised the nation to not get worried over it.
Chaudhry said that Pakistan had achieved numerous successes in the war against terrorism due to which a significant decrease in terror incidents had taken place in the country.
He said that the nation had shown there was no room for terrorism in the country.
The Pakistani ambassador stated that strategic changes were taking place in the world due to which foes were becoming friends.
He added that Pakistan had to clarify its policies and set its priorities straight.
Chaudhry remarked that the federal government was forming a foreign policy, based on four to five key points, in wake of the changing regional political scenario.
He added that Pakistan would not allow anyone to interfere in its internal matters.
He further said that India was isolating the entire region by not participating in South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) conferences.
